1ptrans.gif (44 bytes) Tip / Ring Signal Simulator  -  Telephone Line Monitor:

Description:
Operating under control of the TRsSim software, the AI-5120 is configured as an event recorder. This means it continually monitors the telephone line voltage for events such as on-hook or off-hook transitions, line flashes, pulse dialing, line polarity reversals, DTMF digit detection, CAS/DTAS tone detection, and FSK message detection. Once an event is detected, applicable measurements are made and the signal waveforms may be recorded. This information is then transferred to the PC where the TRsSim software is used to view and analyze the data.  The main features include:

Detect and decode Telecordia, ETSI, and NTT Caller ID
Detect and decode ETSI (ES 201 912) SMS messages
      Detect and measure DTMF dialing
Capture, view, playback, and manipulate waveforms

Measure DC line voltage, AC RMS level, and frequency
Export/Import waveforms to/from text or wave (.wav) files
Remote control via a TCP/IP link

The graphical representation of the AI-5120 is the main control panel. The TRsSim software can connect to more than one AI-5120, and each one is displayed in a separate control panel window. From this window, the current telephone line status is shown as well as the DC line voltage and AC signal readings. All detected events are displayed, including their measurement details.

First two bytes in a FSK Caller ID message
Data layer analysis of a Caller ID message
Physical layer analysis of a FSK signal
Event list for Type II (off-hook) Caller ID
Data layer analysis for SMS message
Captured DTMF digits
DTMF digit physical layer analysis
Ringing measurements

Options:
blue bullet.gif (850 bytes) Waveform Analysis (view examples) p/n:  AI-ET003
The TRsSim software can include an optional component that provides additional analysis tools. The Waveform Analysis option gives the TRsSim software the ability to:
Show byte & bit level decoding for FSK waveforms
Generate detailed physical layer FSK analysis report
  Generate detailed DTMF analysis report
  Generate detailed CAS/DTAS analysis report
Detect and analyze network tones (dial, ring back, busy)
  Perform waveform filtering and transforms
