CID1500  -  FSK Based Caller ID Signal Simulator

Description:
The CID1500 software program is a high level and full featured Caller ID signal simulator for FSK based systems. It supports a wide variety of sophisticated testing capabilities conforming to the major Caller ID standards. These include Telecordia (Bellcore), TIA, ETSI, BT, CCA and others. The software can automate complicated testing procedures by a built in scripting language interpreter. As part of the AI-150 and AI-120 products, this software program is designed to fully test and exercise any Caller ID device to the various FSK based standards.

Note:  When using the CID1500 with the AI-120, only the script language interpreter features are available. As the AI-120 is meant for controlled production environments, the CID1500 program restricts itself to only executing scripting programs or pre-defined configuration files created with the AI-150.

Options:
ACK Analysis:   Part number AI-E001

The ACK Analysis option to the CID1500 software extends its analysis capabilities by displaying time domain and frequency domain information of a Caller ID device’s ACK tone. The ACK tone is generated by a Caller ID device in response to a Type II (off-hook) transmission of data. The correct generation and timing of the ACK tone is critical to correct Caller ID transmissions. This option captures the ACK tone and can display the data collected in either a time domain or frequency domain view.

AI-7280 Support:   Part number AI-EC1500
This option configures the CID1500 software to use the AI-7280 Central Office Line Simulator hardware instead of the normal PC based TSPC (Telephone Signal Processing Card).  The AI-7280 is controlled from the PC by means of a serial RS-232 connection.
