Overview: The above listed documents provide a relatively complete description of Type I and Type II Caller ID functionality, including testing procedures to insure compliance with the Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). Type I Caller ID functionality is comprised of documents TR-NWT-000031, TR-NWT-001188, and TR-NWT-001401. The first document covers calling number delivery, with the second covering calling name delivery, and finally the third describing the visual message waiting indictor generic requirements. For Type II Caller ID, the documents TR-NWT-000575, TR-NWT-000031, and TR-NWT-001188 contain the primary requirements. GR-30-CORE consists of the generic requirements for transmitting voiceband data to the CPE. These are generic requirements from the Stored Program Control System.
