TSPC (Telephone Signal Processing Card)

|
The
Telephone Signal Processing Card (TSPC) is a PC
plug-in card that emulates a standard Central
Office or PBX telephone line. Utilizing a
powerful DSP based architecture it can be used in
various applications such a Caller ID testing,
signaling analysis, network tone generation, and
CO emulation. The DSP approach allows for
complete control over all signal generation and
analysis. New measurement algorithms, new
standards, and new features can be downloaded
from the PC to the TSPC by simply using upgraded
software. This allows for an easy upgrade path in
the future without the requirement of new
hardware.
In addition to the DSP signal generation and
analysis engine, the TSPC contains a subscriber
line interface with programmable line voltage,
line impedance, loop current, and line polarity.
A ringing generator produces a low distortion
output over a broad frequency range. The flat
frequency response allows for accurate generation
and analysis of test signals for various
applications. Two external BNC connectors allows
for signal loop-though, injection, and
monitoring.
