Full featured PC based Caller ID Signal Simulator. Generates FSK and DTMF signals for both Type I (on-hook) and Type II (off-hook) Caller ID. Software support for all major international standards such as Telecordia (Bellcore), TIA, ETSI, BT, CCA, and NTT.  The windows-based graphical user interface combines ease of use with a large degree of flexibility. Automated testing to various standards is supported.

Details

The AI-150 consists of an ISA PC plug-in card and three different software packages. The plug-in card, called a Telephone Signal Processing Card (TSPC), performs emulation of a single telephone line with DSP based signal generation and analysis capabilities. The application programs, operating under Windows 95/98/NT/2000, provide the high level user interface. Each software program implements a separate Caller ID system as follows:

blue bullet.gif (850 bytes) CID950N Software for Japanese NTT FSK Caller ID

In addition, the AI-150 TSPC is controllable from user application programs via Windows Dynamically Linked Libraries (DLL’s). Virtually any development environment (such as Visual C++, Visual Basic, LabView, HP VEE, or even VBA inside Excel or Word) can be used to control the TSPC. DLL’s are available for Windows 3.1, 95, 98, and NT.

Options

ACK Tone Analyzer:   AI-E001
This time and frequency domain analysis option allows the CID1500 software to capture the ACK tone generated by the unit under test. The data can be viewed in either the time domain (like an oscilloscope waveform) or as computed FFT’s for analyzing frequency and harmonic content.

Additional One Year Warranty:   AI-K001
Increases the parts and labor warranty period from the standard one year to a total of two years from date of purchase.

Additional Three Warranty:   AI-K003
Increases the parts and labor warranty period from the standard one year to a total of four years from date of purchase.

AI-120 Caller ID Signal Simulator
Targeted to the production environment, the AI-120 software is limited to loading and executing configuration and script files only. Using similar software and hardware as the AI-150, the AI-120 provides a lower cost production testing solution. It can execute the same scripting programs as the AI-150, including access to all the sophisticated impairment features.

AI-240 CAS Detector Testing System
The AI-240 combines many of the keys elements required for talk-down, talk-off, and signal recognition testing in a single product. This includes an ASL (Active Speech Level) meter, parametric voice band equalizer, CAS/SAS tone generator, and data logger. The AI-240 is specifically targeted to the qualification of Type II Caller ID CAS tone detectors. As the CAS detector plays such a key role in proper Type II Caller ID, Telecordia (Bellcore) has published a testing plan for its evaluation.
